Couple of days back we were shocked by the Internet issue. I read a few articles and even bought the newspaper about the loopholes in the explorer, and the attack that they were facing then. Now I went thru a website, just to read bout more bad news. As for you guys who has the connection, be prepared for a slow connection till maybe end of the year. Daymmmn!!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone !!!

Aku celebrate christmas eve dekat studio je. Waktu tu aku tengah pack producing this one group for their second single. Memang sebenarnya tak perlu pun sambut perayaan ni, tapi memangdangkan kita ni orang Malaysia dan masyarakat terdiri drpd kaum yg majmuk, selalunya perayaan begini memang disambut dengan meriah tak kira bangsa dan agama. Semua kita bedal!!! Tapi entah macam mana beberapa hari kebelakangan ni dateline aku macam berlambak je, so terpaksalah keje lebih masa. Tak dptlah nak party :(

Kat office aku, semua orang beriya2 nak exchange gift. Aku pun turut serta walaupun sebenarnya macam tak berapa minat. I got myself a massager from my colleague. Now why on earth does anyone think that i need a massager? Tapi gift paling best aku dapat ialah a diary cum organizer for 2009 from my gf. Dia bagi aku yg kelas lagi vogue punya, kecik dan cantek, kalau dipadankan dengan tuan dia nie, memang orang nampak aku musician yang educated. hehe. Tapi the truth is, aku memang sgt perlukan organizer, dan memang aku akan gunakan diary tu setiap hari pada 2009 nanti. Aku pulak belikan dia buku. Aku tau dia memang suka membaca, jadi aku belikan dia 3 buku dalam satu pack, a special edition for Christmas lah nie..:)

The shoe incident

Infinatez, Japan, Hannah Tan

Singing made me learn new things. One if it is the ability to travel all around the globe. I heard stories from my more experienced performing friends, that they have travelled and been to a whole loads of places, not including all the ‘dancers’ I use to work with. Some of them have been to more than 40 countries. As for me and my group, we just hope our music will spread and people know how sincere we are when it comes to music. Of course we would love to penetrate different market with different approach, such as Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and the Phillipines, but me and Alvin has always seen Japan as our benchmark and we would love to go there one day. Even the singers in United States sees Japan as the land of opportunity. Japanese appreciate good arts and in this case it’s in the form of music. In fact, there are a few artiste who actually released their album in Japan first rather than US. I know Boyz II Men did the same too

DIA................

Aku tak pernah rasa nak menulis pasal ‘dia’ sampailah saat ini. Setiap kali aku berjauhan dengan ‘dia’ aku rasa rindu, kadang2 tu menjadi-jadi sampai aku rindukan dia walaupun dia dalam dakapan aku. Malah saat nie sedang aku menulis pun aku masih rindukan ‘dia

Sedar tak sedar aku dah berkawan dgn ‘dia’ hampir dua tahun, tapi dua tahun yang sangat banyak dugaan. Dugaan yang datang dari pelbagai pihak, dari dia, dari orang ketiga, dari orang sekeliling, yang paling teruk dari aku. Ditambah plak dengan situasi di mana aku dan ’dia’ memang bekerja sekali. Sejak dari Gangstarz, ke pementasan P Ramlee sehinggalah hari nie di mana setiap produksi aku mesti melibatkan dirinya.

Tapi Alhamdulillah, semenjak-dua menjak nie hubungan aku dengan si ’dia’ semakin baik. Mungkin kerana setahun kebelakangan ini kami telah lalui banyak sangat perbalahan, membuatkan kami lebih dewasa dalam menyelesaikan salah faham. Betullah orang cakap pertelingkahan kalau tak memudaratkan memang bagus, sekurang2nya kita mampu belajar dan mengenal hati budi pasangan kita

Toleransi itu penting. Selebihnya, biarlah cerita cinta aku dengan ’dia’ di simpan untuk aku…..dan DIA

All this while I’ve always thought that Ampang is not a safe place to live anymore. I grow up there in Ampang and I love the environment. It’s a nice place to live but looking at the crime rates I figured that its better to stay elsewhere eventhough I would say most of my friends came from Ampang…

Then I came across this article. When I read it I remember how I was robbed when I was playing Counter Strike at a cybercafé many years ago in Hartamas. So now I thought Ampang is not so bad after all.. :)

Launching of SPA Q

SPA Q Announcement

Those Who Believe Records and Publishing (TWBR) made more progress when our song were selected as one of the theme song of SPA Q (season II). The songs are ‘Ada Masa’ by Infinatez and ‘Khabarkan’ (sad acoustic) ‘Bintang’ by Luscious. The main song would be by Dato’Siti Nurhaliza. I took the responsibility of arranging the scoring for the series with the help of my good buddy Alvin and RafikKonsept. You guys can checkout the series at TV3 till you vomit because its gonna get airplayed till April I suppose…

Why is English so important?

Post aku kali nie bukanlah bertujuan untuk mengajar tapi lebih kepada memberi kesedaran serta pendedahan mengenai betapa pentingnya bahasa Inggeris. By saying that it doesn’t mean that Im not up for my own language. Bagi aku Bahasa Melayu masih lagi bahasa yang aku rasa sangat indah, lembut dan cantik. Yes sometimes I speak and talk in English tetapi aku masih lagi mengangkat bahasa melayu sebagai bahasa ibunda aku. Kadang2 aku menulis lagu dalam bahasa Inggeris. Kadang2 dalam bahasa melayu. Kedua2nya hanya bahasa yg mempunyai approach yg berbeza. Bahasa Inggeris lebih simple dan kita boleh menulis secara direct cuma penggunaan tatabahasa dia agak sukar manakala bahasa melayu lebih komplikasi namun jika diolah dengan betul, akan menjadi bahasa yg lebih tersirat. Apapun mesejnya tetap sama. Ianya hanya kaedah utk kita berhubung dan berkomunikasi sesama sendiri

Apa yg aku nak ceritakan hari ini ialah bagaimana perlunya seseorang belajar dan mendalami bahasa Inggeris. Pertama sekali bahasa Inggeris merupakan bahasa yang diterima pakai oleh setiap orang di hampir setiap negara. Its like as if its music where everybody knows and can relate to each other. Dan bila seseorang tu sudah mahir dan fasih berbahasa Inggeris, makanya senang untuk beliau melakukan pelbagai perkara sebagai contoh interview kerja, tulis surat, dealing with clients, apply loan dan macam2 lagi. Seseorang yg mahir bahasa Inggeris secara tidak langsung meletakkan dirinya ke satu tahap dan standard di mana orang akan lebih menghormatinya. In fact, kalau nak tulis surat cinta atau text kat awek pun lebih best kalau type in English ye tak?

Tapi aku agak kesal dengan situasi sekarang. Sepatutnya perkara sebegini perlu bermula dari rumah atas sokongan ibubapa. Barulah bahasa inggeris nie senang untuk ditutur bak kata mat salleh ’fingertips’ je. Bukannya susah pun nak belajar. Baca novel English. Kemudian kalau tengok berita kat TV pastikan tengok berita English. Ataupun dengar lagu English, kalau tak suka Britney Spears atleast pegilah dengar Che'nelle. Jangan sampai nanti dah tua kelak baru nak terkapai2 cakap bahasa Inggeris. Itu yang terjadi dekat beberapa hamba Allah yang saya pernah bekerjasama dulu.

Hamba ALLAH ’S’ (bukan nama sebenar) telah sms kepada saya untuk menyatakan yang dia sangat risau, terkilan bercampur blur yang amat sangat dengan hal peribadinya. Begini smsnya tuan2 dan puan2…

Karaoke devil

I’ve never liked going for karaoke. Not that I don’t enjoy myself, but I think it’s a lil but wasting my time since I’m always performing and my life revolves around the microphone. But this incident makes my reason stronger to not wanting to go Karaoke

Zouk, Bijou Bazaar, SPA Q

Last week on the 28th of November I went to velvet, Zouk where they all had their re-launch of the place since it was been renovated for quite sometimes. And that night apart from partying with my good buddies I was also out to see my fave female Rn’B trio performing there for Joanne’s Kam event. I was kinda exhausted, was recording the whole day and then malam party plak sambil layan ‘Luscious’ perform. Luckily they all performed well. For the first time I saw them like ‘Destiny’s Child’ or Dreamgirls if you know what I mean. Good vocals, energetic performance, and kewl dress….lucky me… :)

The next day Infinatez, Luscious and Imran Ajmain gather for another performance in Hartamas. The feel was more loose and it was more like a meeting up with friends kinda thing where everybody knows each other and got together for the love of music. And some of us got to buy some cool stuff over there. I think the event was cool. Macam Layar Tanchap jugaklah…..

Im now currently packed with studio session, music arrangement and recording. In fact I had to postponed a few Infinatez’s project due to some dateline. Anyway before I forget last Friday 5th December, Infinatez peformed alongside Luscious and Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza for a lauching of SPA Q Tv3 that was held in Palace Of The Golden Horses Hotel. For those who don’t know, my songs that was produced and published under my company ThoseWhoBelievePublishing made it to become the soundtrack of the series.

Alhamdulillah. Things are going great !!!

Interview with Paparazzi

They say : 'Paparazzi' is a good song. But why is it in English. If it was in malay more people would have listened to it
I say : Music is not about language. Music itself is already a language. When hindi movie was made popular, everybody loves 'tompase aiye'. Remember? C'mon, if Reshomonu and VE can do it, we can too

They say : It doesnt receive good rotation at the english radio station, perhaps they claimed it as being too matured
I say : I just dont understand. The more matured the song is, the more it should get played. Full stop

They say : What are you guys trying to prove here?
I say : We are what we are. The competition doesnt turn us into pop culture. We are RnB singers and we would like people to know that we can sing in English too

They say : So do you receive any good feedbacks from the mass radio station
I say : Not really. The malay station says its too 'english' thus it can't be played. The english station says its too matured. Moron....

They say : Then who's playing your song?
I say : The radiostations that think our music is good. Trust me, the big shots is not much of a help. But radio all over the country still play our song. In fact. there's dj in Perlis and Malacca that confirmed that its in a high rotation at their station.

They say : So do you think its a good song
I say : If its not then people from Kedah wouldnt have sing along when we performed there previously. There's always a place for music. If the big fishes wont play our song, its their loss

They say : How and where do i get the song?
I say : Apart from buying the single, you guys could check out 'Possibly the best compilation ever' compilation. Atleast they appreciate good music.

Selamat Hari Raya

Dalam kurang dari seminggu kita telah dikejutkan dengan 3 kejadian tanah runtuh. Satu berlaku di Ulu Yam di mana pasangan adik beradik telah meninggal dunia apabila rumah banglo satu tingkat yg didiami telah ranap. Kemudian berlaku satu lagi tanah runtuh dekat Jalan Semantan. Peristiwa itu tidak melibatkan sebarang kecederaan tapi aku pasti korang tau mengenai kes tanah runtuh yg berlaku di Taman Mewah baru-baru nie...

Ianya berlaku berdekatan dengan Bukit Antarabangsa. In case korang terlupa, ianya 1.5 km dengan kejadiaan yg menimpa 'Highland Towers' berbelas tahun yang lalu. And untuk beberapa tahun kebelangan nie, sudah 4 kejadian tanah runtuh yg berlaku di sekitar Lembah Klang. Waktu kes highland towers tumbang, I was still a kid but i remember how many lives were dead. Then a few years back i remember rumah seorang General dekat Bukit Antarabangsa pun hancur akibat benda yg sama. Dan 3 hari lepas it happened near my house.....

Malam kejadian aku takde di rumah. Aku tidur di Ampang di rumah temanku yg lain. Bangun2 tido je aku dapat loads of missed call checking out on me. In fact bapak 'dia' pun call tanya how am i doing? Aku agak blur so i contacted my friend and housemate, that was when i knew what happened exactly. So petang tu aku terus jumpa Farid dan Khairul, nak tau lebih lanjut pasal kejadian, and at the same time discuss about our condo which is quite near to the place. Diorang citerlah ader diantara mangsa2 yang sempat melarikan diri, and they quote it like 'tsunami' cuma ianya tanah runtuh. Guys imagine tanah runtuh sebesar tsunami. MasyaALLAH.

Aku sangat sedih bila aku tengok gambar dekat suratkhabar. I dont really buy newspaper but for some reason i bought two newspapers nak tengok macam mana proses menyelamat mangsa2 yang lain. Tuhan saja yg tau betapa sedihnya bila aku tengok gambar tempat kejadian yg telah ditangkap dari helikopter. Ader diantara rumah diorang memang dah tertimbus hanya nampak bumbung je. And ader plak yg aku nampak kereta atas bumbung, maybe terpelanting due to the strong impact. And bila aku baca artikel so far yg aku tau dah 4 orang terkorban akibat peristiwa tersebut. Seorang student, dua orang parents berbangsa India dan Cina dan seorang Indonesian maid. From what i read, 2 orang tersebut mati akibat cuba menyelamatkan anak mereka. Sedih lagi pilu bila aku baca benda2 nie. Sedih dan sayu setiap kali aku lalu MRR2 highway aku nampak ambulans, RELA, polis dan pasukan penyelamat. Lagi sayu bila aku terkenang yang kes nie berlaku bila dekat2 nak raya...

Dengan ini juga saya ingin mengambil kesempatan untuk mengucapkan selamat menyambut Hari Raya Haji pada tahun ini. Dalam kita bergembira bersama keluarga, jgn kita lupa ader saudara2 kita yg menyambut raya ala-kadar, ada yg menyambut raya tanpa rumah, tanpa baju yg cantik, tanpa makanan yg enak, dan ada yg menyambut raya dengan kehilangan. Kepada mereka yg tinggal berdekatan kawasan tersebut, salam takziah dari saya Andy Infinatez...

Seperti kata 'dia'....masa ini elok menjadi titik-tolak untuk kita berhijrah. Fikirkan !!!

Kesihatan dan kebersihan

Kemana2 aku pergi memang tak terlepas dengan cerita demam sana demam sini. Almost each of my friends semuanya tak terlepas drpd kena demam. Baik dari kawan lepak aku, kawan taman aku, kawan opis aku, kawan music aku hingga ke kawan aku punya kawan semuanya cakap diorang tak sihat. I think most probably due to the weather. Sekejap panas sekejap sejuk, sekejap hujan sekejap panas terik, lepas tu masuk office air-cond plak tak ingat dunia.....

Aku pun tak terlepas dengan gejala demam, tapi aku janji aku bukan demam sbb ikut trend ataupun market..hehe..It started of 3 weeks back, there were a few days in a row aku tak tido sebab I was too tight with work. I think that was the reason why aku demam, maybe sebab aku punya antibody lemah. Then starlah batuk, sorethroat, running nose, high fever dan segala macam penyakit yg bersangkut paut. Dan lepas satu baik, satu lagi plak datang, sampailah last week aku tak boleh tahan. I couldnt breathe properly. Kalau aku nafas je keluar bunyi yg sgt scary. Well i went to clinic, diorang kata suspect bronkitis la...pastu pegi clinic lain diorang kata kahak. Kemudian suspect aku athma plak siap bagi aku inhaler. Tapi okaylah not bad atleast aku boleh tido malam. Ada satu malam tu it was quite terrible i had to sleep sitting down. So kesihatan aku agak tak berapa stable, forcing me and my group to postponed our recording sessions a few times..

Ooh ye, aku telah dengan ikhlas memberi penyakit aku kepada the rest of Infinatez. Sharing is caringlah katakan.........

2 minggu lepas aku pergi Platinum Studio nak uruskan beberapa hal mengenai lagu terbaru aku. Kat situ aku sempat berjumpa dengan Lah VE dan Nabil Mentor. Diorang plak waktu tu baru selesai recording so sempatlah berborak kosong for awhile, then we started talking bout this issue. Lah citer one of her family member just passed away, due to some unknown disease. Dia kata she was fine all along, tiba2 je demam terus jatuh sakit, lepas tu terus admited kat wad. Lah pun terkejut, selang beberapa hari kemudian dia menghembuskan nafas terakhir. Takut jugak aku dengar citer2 macam nie. Kadang2 tu banyak sebab kenapa kita jatuh sakit. Keadaan sekeliling kita. Makanan yg kita makan. Semuanya kena pastikan bersih...hmmm

Apa2 pun jagalah diri korang ye. Im going to the pantry for a while to take my medicine. Chiow !!!

Before i proceed i would like to introduce myself, Andy representing my fella brothers of Infinatez. Of all the people in the world, we have selected a few people 10-15 of you guys that is close to our heart to help us out to promote our songs. You guys can be our friends during schools, college time, colleagues, leisure friends or even family members. At this point im writing my heart out seikhlas-ikhlasnya so that i can convey the message, so that you all faham apa plan I and the system im creating now. Welcome again, selamat berjuang!!!

Sepertimana yg you tau Infinatez sudahpun mereleasekan our single which is called 'Paparazzi' and 'Ada Masa'. Paparazzi was pretty much our idea sebab we did it during P Ramlee because we played the 'media/reporters' role. And we did a version with Cat Farish just to relate it with papa jahat at the same time. It is an English Rn'B song and for ya'll Rn'B listeners out there, you would love it. Alhamdulillah, we received loads of good feedbacks and the song put dah masuk carta, masuk compilation and banyak lagi. But at the same time i did some research on how to improve things moreover we are now an independant artiste (MERDEKA). By being independant the only way we could survive is to to come out with our own method and not to follow the traditional ways of promoting songs. For instance, we used to send our songs and promote it to each and every single radio stations but now we would only focus on one radio and make it top. Kemudian radio lain. Of course i have come out with several other plans and the one im asking of you is an ONLINE based

Mudah saja. We are now focusing on 'Ada Masa' and the only radio station that is playing our song is Era (Radio No1# Malaysia). Alhamdulillah, lagu nie kerap diputarkan tapi there is this carta C30 setiap hari dari Isnin - Jumaat yang akan menentukan populariti sesebuah lagu. And it also will determined our rank dalam Carta Era setiap hujung minggu. So my plan is simple. We need more votes and how its gonna be done is :

1) Educating people bout this song (handled by Alvin)
- mouth to mouth promotion
- network community such as Friendster, MySpace and Facebook
- blogging

2) INF online agent (handled by me)
- you guys the selected ones to vote everyday (isnin hingga jumaat)
- loyal and constant voters

Just imagine sebanyak mana pun vote daripada method satu, Infinatez tau at the end of the day we have votes coming in from you guys which falls under the second method. Then bila banyak vote, dari method 2, lagu akan makin kerap diputarkan seterusnya akan membanyakkan lagi voters from method satu. So bila banyak vote lagu pun naik. How do you guys do that. Lagi senang

1) Register di http://www.era.fm/ ( I bet i dont need to tell you how to brief. Do take note most of you guys are IT literate. hehe )

2) Lepas register masuk PROGRAM ------- Click on C30 (make sure to use Internet Explorer not some other browser such as Mozilla)

3) Pick 10 songs
* my suggestion is to pick international artiste or the one less known to the mass public (kalau pilih lagu yg top susahlah Infinatez nak kejar)
* not songs from KRU...dont ask
* of course Ada Masa....hehe....:)

4) Come out with your own slogan

Thats it. As simple as that. Personally, I really hope by coming out with this simple yet workable plan would help us to push our song. My plan is simple, one vote a day for a month (22 days tolak weekend) would definitely make loads of different to our music. It is not vote via sms and vote online utk carta C30 doesnt require you to sit in front of pc for hours pun. Then i would listen and do my own research based on the song's progress in the chart itself. Ini hanya sekadar bantuan ikhlas drpd korang. I tak boleh balas usaha korang tapi I need you to understand that semua yg you buat, kami sangat hargai. Thats the reason why I wrote this at the first place so that you boleh baca, dan Infinatez jadi lebih dekat dgn korang.We get inspired by people like you guys, yg support kitorang. and we truly know that there is always a place for music.

Impak Maksima The Musical

Semalam aku pergi menjenguk tayangan perdana 'Impak Maksima' the musical. I was excited and thrilled to watch the show mainly because my baby sister is taking part in it, because most of the time dia tengok aku perform so that day aku duduk and dia plak perform. Best plak rasanya. Second is partly because i wanna rest and really enjoy the show since i've been busy with work lately. Bolehlah aku berehat sambil menikmati tarian anak2 gadis yg menggiurkan. Hehe. So aku tekad memang nak pergi walaupun terpaksa pergi sorang

Right before the show started i had some level of expectations from them. Being a performer plus a two season experience with Enfiniti (PGL and P Ramlee) has given me a different perspective towards arts. I love performing and the satisfaction i get from it is purely ecstasy. But the experience of watching a show is another thing. During my time i had to slowly sneaked out to the backdoor just to get a 20 mins glimpse of how the show is like. So this time aku datang memang nak enjoy dan tengok puas2 teater tu. And from the promotion itself i was rest assured that this could be another musical hit, adding the urban lifestyle to their story plot. And drift on stage. Mindblowing i could not even imagine..

Infinatez was suppose to join the musical as well. But due to some misunderstanding, we backed off. So does Awal, Ju and Pedd from Fabulous Catz

10 mins lepas show start, aku dah tak tau apa yg aku tengok. I felt like i wasted 2 hours of my life and pretty much asking myself 'bilalah nak habis'. Well i was hoping for a fantastic show or atleast yg okaylahkan so that atleast i could share with you guys about my experience that night but it turned out to be HORRIBLE with all capital letters. At the start of the scene CD jump (scratch) meaning to say they were using CD no live bands, then the singing was all purely miming that is entirely defeats the purpose of having a musical where certainly music cant be compromised. The lighting was all over the place aku tak tau sapa yg bercakap. The set and stage was completely empty. And throughout the show memang tak dengar sbb sound system tak bagus. Dan setakat kereta tu drift pusing2 situ doesnt really impress me. Because honestly aku tak paham cerita and the story line sucks big time. Aku tak tau bila dia race, bila dia bercinta and paling kelakar time main cast mati which supposed to be a sad scene, turned out the audience gelakkan pelakon. Punyalah tak sampai karektor masing2 masing...:(

One good thing about the show was the dance. Most of the people yg terlibat pun kawan2 aku jugak such as Cat, Adeep TFC, Dina MI, Floor Fever (Abone, Bojae, Diha), Nita and budak2 Istana Budaya (Leslie and Bella) so supportlah. Im proud watching them performed and enjoyed their time on stage. I was entertained by their dancing and choreography especially Abone and Bojae. Memang stylo. Korang sajalah sebab aku datang and tengok sampai habis...

So balik tu aku lepak ngan some of my close friends sejak kecik. We were sharing things. Atleast malam tu i learned new things. If we cant do something, if we are not able to execute it nicely, if we cant afford to put a good show, dont do. Nak buat benda biar betul2 and do research. Jangan pilih orang yang tak betul. Work with the right people. People who knows what to do. Good night everybody

Novel pun ader publisher dia sendiri. And its our job to protect the rights of that song. Kitorang akan naik turun MACP, pengagihan royalti, do our own administration in fact promote the songs that is published under us. Since the trend nowdays are all DIY product that means we have our counterparts atau dalam kata lain our own own people to do things such as artiste management, production house, photoshoot and designing, PR, radio and tv station and digital download....ha...there you go. You kill not only 1 or 2 birds but countless of em' with one stone...

One Man Show

Aku rasa this 3 weeks have been a hectic week for me. Nak kata show banyak giler takdelah juga tapi bolehlah. Bulan puasa hari tu startlah kemarau show. So baru aku tau camana artis selama nie survive bila Ramadhan. Tapi skang nie slowly tgh open reservation and booking for performance. Antara yg latest kitorang buat dekat Puchong for an event for U Mobile. Then few days back we were performing at Sunway for this one event. 'Program keamanan dunia' something like that and Luscious pun ader sekali. Lepas tu kitorang lepak

Then di samping my daily job im currently busy with my client. Alhamdulillah rezeki pun dah semakin bertambah. Ramai jugak yg nak lagu aku nie ye. hehehe :) Last week 4 hari straight aku dekat studio. satu client male solo satu lagi RnB group. Then tengah prepare some material jugak for some other artiste yg nak lagu aku. Tapi biasalah kena pelan-pelan sebab aku nie 'one man show'. Akulah compose, akulah produce, akulah arrange pendek kata semuanya akulah. So atleast boleh belajar banyak benda cuma progressnya agak perlahan.

Dalam masa terdekat nie plak Infinatez akan masuk studio utk proses rakaman. Kitorang juga tengah mengumpul material so sesiapa yg ada bolehlah kasi kitorang dengar manatau tersangkut ke. Buat masa nie selain nak focus on production, each of us tengah figure out macam mana nak promote our songs. Well i made a few phone calls to the dj's all around Malaysia. Nasihat Doctor

I ve not been writing for a while. Told cha i hate writing. I only write when i feel like, which means hmm, when i have nothing else to do in this world. Tapi ader a few incidents semenjak kebelakangan nie yg membuatkan aku rasa aku harus berkongsi, atau remind kalian....

Kita sering dikejutkan dengan kes yg bersangkut paut pasal pembunuhan. Rogal ke, ragut ke, rompak ke, at the end of the day it still goes back to people dying. waktu bulan puasa dulu ada kes bunuh dekat Shah Alam waktu keluarga mangsa tengah sibuk nak sahur. Kejadian nie aku rasa bermotifkan rompakan tapi bila polis dah masuk campur, negotiator dah masuk campur, it ended with anak2 yg patah tulang belakang, dan ibu yg mati. Tembak menembak pun berlaku dan confirm si lakhnat tu mati. Aku sgt bersimpati apatah lagi mangsa adalah kawan ibu. Dan waktu raya dekat kampung aku terbaca kisah suami isteri yg mati kena pukul dengan anak2 sendiri, sebab diorang percaya utk buang sakit dan therapy yg diorang guna ialah PUKUL sampai lauk. Mungkin dah steam pukul mak ayah sampai tak perasan yg mak ayah dah mati. Then last week, Ruzana Luscious (bukan nama sebenar) berkongsi mengenai kejadian yang menimpa penyanyi kegemaran aku, Jennifer Hudson. Both her brother and mommy passed away sbb diorang kena tembak right in front of their house. Anak buah dia plak dilarikan dan sampai sekarang tak jumpa-jumpa. Last week, my colleague in Afghanistan got killed. Both of them was gunned down...what is wrong in this mother earth?

Apa yg aku nak remind korang supaya berhati2 bukan sahaja di jalan raya tapi di mana anda berada. It sound funny aint it. But yeah jaga diri korang elok elok. Tanah melayu kita nie dah bukan macam dulu. We lead a life just like how the US citizens are. KL dah macam New York. Apa yg aku cerita tu sikit saja tapi kalau korang selalu bukak news, selalu bukak Metro (suratkhabar yg suka bercerita pasal kematian the first 10 pages) you would know that we are not that safe. Risiko nak kena rompak tu memang selalu ada. Teringat plak zaman aku duduk di Ampang dulu. Ya ampun takut dia tak payah nak cerita, memang tempat tu tempat jenayah. I wonder how i survived. Dan jaga keluarga anda. Keep an eye on your mother, sisters, gf or even your colleague. Wanita terutamanya. Jangan biarkan diorang jalan sorang2. Teman diorang sampai ke kereta. Bagitau diorang not to walk alone in the night. Sayangkan diorang dan selalu pesan kat diorang supaya jaga diri. Biat pedih telinga tapi selalu beringat. Simpang malaikat kalau apa2 jadi dgn ahli keluarga kita....Ya ALLAH jauhkan itu semua...

Aku inginkan satu kehidupan yg aman. Bukan sahaja kehidupan aku malah kehidupan semua orang yg aku kenal mahupun tidak. Hidup yg tak perlu rasa marah, dendam, benci. Hidup yg takde rasa takut. God bless

Malaysian Music Is Dangerous

A local gig in Kelantan got raided, a pub band in Holiday Inn over in Glenmarie had trouble with some overzealous officials, and a few foreign musicians almost got banned for silly reasons (with the exception of Inul Daratista who successfully got banned). Over in Kedah, they are upping this whole thing by totally keeping all pop, reggae and rock music out of the state. As a result, a lot of musicians and support groups are feeling the need to defend music and get everyone to believe that musicians aren’t really a naughty lot. Some are arguing that it seems unfair these days that anybody who holds a guitar and wants to be near a microphone is officially seen as a threat to the community. Musicians are, across the board, getting branded as agents out to corrupt the moral fabric of society. Well, the silver lining in all this then is, well, the fact that anybody who holds a guitar and wants to be near a microphone is officially a threat to the community.

In the grand scheme of things, music in general has gone soft and become a former shadow of its counter-culture and radical self. There was a time when Elvis’ hip gyration was seen as evil, rap music was brutal, only true non-conformists knew who Metallica was and there was no way you could imagine “punk” or “pop” being used in the same line. But that’s exactly what happened to music globally. Along the way from vinyl to iPod, music lost the plot and got defanged and became just another commodity brands want to associate with to shift product.

Here on home turf, that’s particularly true. You literally can’t do a live show unless some telco or phone brand is out to associate with the “hip underground bands” who inevitably sing praise of the brand. You can’t do a local mainstream TV show or movie without snippets of the hip new track from some “post” prefixing-crazy band. Instead of having to struggle to get airplay, independent acts now seem to get a token “local music show” on almost every major station. Xfresh only plays local tracks. You know what that’s a sign of? The masses conforming to the local music scene. Numerous sites want Malaysian music online, trying to out MySpace. What does that in turn spell? Local music is safe enough for the masses and good for big business to associate with.

How can that possibly help local musicians? If they don’t have it rough and have to struggle to make music, then they might as well throw away any sense of trying to make interesting music and just do jingles. If they aren’t suffering for their art, then there is no art worth making. Thank goodness then for all the musician-unfriendly activities. Musicians in Malaysia are now fortunate enough to be able to carry a subversive and dangerous vibe about them that today’s incarnation of The Sex Pistols can only dream about. They also potentially will have trouble making ends meet and trying to recoup any costs involved in doing their craft. The more the musicians suffer, the more they will have something interesting to create.

The whole non-discriminatory and off-kilter pick on what is considered a “bad influence on Malaysian youth” is also truly a blessing. Can you imagine Avril Lavigne being considered “sexy” anywhere in the world? All pop music is not welcome in Kedah? Random raids on pub bands? Musicians couldn’t ask for a better break. All of them, by default, are officially bad@$$3$. All musicians, regardless of their background or intentions are seen as “trouble.” Go ahead pimply-faced, puberty-weary, budding singer/songwriter with a maiden YouTube clip, look in the mirror and say it out loud, “I’m a subversive force on Malaysian youth” and tell me you don’t feel a million times more manly than Mustapha Kamal from any of his early ‘90s action flicks.
The sudden uproar against musicians ultimately is awesome because all musicians have now been legitimised as being agents of provocation.

A greater benefit here is also that all this blanket suspicion thrown on musicians will make musicians themselves more united as family. Music “scenes” and “genres” are notorious for hating each other’s guts and thinking one being superior to the other. Well metal bands, pop singer, post rockers and dangdut shakers, you’re all the same now. You are all dangerous and must be feared.

Congratulations Malaysian musicians, you are all officially a force to be reckoned with again.

Paparazzi in 'Possibly the best compilation ever'

Selamat hari raya and maaf zahir batin from Infinatez, Influenz Koncept and the management team. I guess by this time everybody is now back from their kampung. Welcome back everyone! We hope you all had a nice long weekend of binge eating, raya cookies and rendang madness. But now, the time has come for us to get back to reality.

Infinatez will be working on some new project soon. I cant actually reveal everything but being an independent group has made us think not just outside but beyond the box. Our second single 'Ada Masa' has been receiving good feedbacks from radio station, In fact you'll be hearing more of it once its been airplayed in the series. What series? Wait and see. October and November will be a hell of a busy month for us preparing, planning and executing some new methods to get our music across. We will hit the studio pretty soon to record more stuff for you guys out there. In fact, we might even make a comeback to 'Istana Budaya' for another musical. And this time around it is not P Ramlee :)

Another news, our first single 'Paparazzi' is also receiving good feedback from listeners. The song is constantly played in several radio such as Capital FM, RedFM and TraxxFM. In fact, as a gift to all of you who didnt get the chance to purchase it, the song is now featured in a compilation alongside some of the hottest acts such as Melissa Indot, KLG Sqwad, Luscious, Poseidon, Altimet and Frequency Cannon. And the compilation is called 'Possibly the best compilation ever'. The title explains everything :)

Buat baik berpada pada

Buat jahat jangan sekali. Tapi buat baik takde plak orang cakap buat berkali-kali.

Aku belajar benda nie lepas aku rasa aku kena tipu. Bukan sahaja aku malah ramai lagi. Dia nie pijak semut tak mati. Sekali pandang memang baik peribadi tapi kalau pandang 2-3 kali memang nak muntah tengok muka dia. Tapi takde orang perasan. Semua orang sangka dia nie baik. Aku pun sama.

Si 'barua' nie datang konon2 nak uruskan group aku. Gaya macam orang educated. Gaya jelah. Tapi bila cakap english berterabur jugak. Tapi aku tak tau macam mana kitorang boleh termakan janji manis dia nie, walaupun gerak hati aku macam tak best. Ader jugak dengar cerita pasal mamat nie sebelum nie tapi semua benda terlepas pandang.

Tapi lama kelamaan duduk di bawah pengurusan dia nie tidak mendatangkan banyak sgt manfaat. Kerja tetap diuruskan oleh adik-beradikku. Buat promotion dan PR pun tak reti dia nie. Pastu makin lama makin susah. Kalau bab duit lagilah susah. Bukan apa kadang2 bab duit nie melibatkan ramai orang. So kalau takde duit jgn janji. Dahlah aku nie banyak jadi orang tengah. Muka aku jugak yg tebal. Bukan muka kau setan!!!

Nak jadikan cerita berkat bulan puasa baru2 nie baru pecah tembelang si 'barua' nie. Rupa2nya dia nie bapak penipu, dan keje dia siang malam kalau tak menipu, menabur fitnah dan melaga-lagakan orang. Tapi sampai bila? Bila dah kumpul semua orang reti pulak ko takut dan malu. Pastu hilangkan diri. Buat cerita sana sini. Bila dah report polis baru ko lari tak cukup tanah. Kenapa takut kalau ko tak salah?

Makan benda haram. Berapa banyak duit orang yg dia tipu. To date aku rasa almost half a million dan rata2 duit yg ditelan ialah duit orang terdekat dengan aku. Mana aku tak marah? Lepas tu dah tau ramai sgt cari dia, lari pulak kat negeri lain, siap pindah barang2 semua. Waktu itulah baru tau yg memang dia nie conman besar. Keje menipu nie memang dah sebati ngan dia bertahun2. Skang tunggu masa nak cari dia saja.

Tapi kitorang kena bijak mengatur langkah. Dia nie bukan sebarang orang jugak. Di samping graduate master dalam bidang 'penipuan', dia nie amal ilmu hitam. Ilmu syirik dan segala macam voodoo. Banyak kali juga insiden bertemu dengan makhluk belaan dia. Dan bebudak nie siap nampak dengan batang hidung sendiri kat umah dia macam2 benda tangkal dan voodoo kat umah si 'barua' nie. Takoot !!!

Citer terbaru bukan saja kitorang cari dia, malah 'along' kongsi gelap pun. Rupa2nya dia nie curi duit orang pun ader jugak bijaknya, sebab nak langsaikan hutang sendiri. Pandai jugak dia. atleast tidaklah dia curi kemudian membazir. Tapi bodohnya hutang masih tak selesai dan at the end of the day ko bukan sahaja bermusuh dgn ramai pihak, tapi along cari kau..

Terima kasih sekali lagi kepada Cinta Sayang Resort kerana sudi menaja accommodation kami pada hari tersebut. Yang paling best malam tu aku rasa bila kitorang menyanyi utk golongan emas. Diorang nie walaupun sudah berumur namun tetap juga bagi kerjasama dengan kitorang, sporting dan enjoy. So lepas the performance semua artis berkumpul dan pegi makan mee udang dekat Sg Dua. Along the way ke tempat nak bersahur tu Infinatez dan Imran asyik melalak je dalam van. Baru aku tau perangai si Imran nie sebenarnya. And hmmm...mee udang dia. Tak payah cakap. Memang best giler. Udang dia besar2 belakatutup segala macam mee yg ada. Speciality dia semua udang. So order mee udang, kueytiow udang, nasi goreng udang, semuanya udanglah……

A challenging Ramadhan

Puasa kali nie sgt berbeza dari tahun-tahun lepas. Selalunya kedatangan ramadhan memang dirasai, malah ditunggu-tunggu. Sebab selalunya bulan puasa nielah bulan nak banyakkan beramal, kurangkan buat maksiat, rapatkan silaturrahim dengan keluarga dan kawan-kawan. Bulan puasa nie jugaklah nak catch up ngan kawan-kawan mana yg dah lama tak lepak sekali.

Tapi puasa kali nie memang sgt simple bagi aku. Its just another ordinary month. Banyak benda yg harus aku kejar. To many things to be done. Dan jadual kerja yang tak menentu, mostly aku bukak puasa di office saja. Kalau nak kira berapa kerat sangatlah aku bukak puasa ngan family aku. Aku harap orang tua aku tak kecik hati. Kawan2 tak payah cakaplah. Member2 lama aku pun ramai yg aku tak sempat nak jumpa. Ader yg bising tak dapat jumpa, dan bila plan nak jumpa plak ader outstation show ngan Infinatez..

Bulan puasa kali nie jugak mencabar bagi aku. I was caught up with so many things. Tahun lepas hampir setiap hari aku buka puasa dengan ‘dia’. And boleh dikatakan selalu jugak aku bersahur dengan ’dia’. Tahun nie puasa hubungan aku makin renggang. Aku rasa so far aku hanya sempat berbuka puasa dengan dia sekali saja itupun di pengakhir ramadhan. Mostly our conversation pun revolves around work, and lupa that we started of knowing each other personally than only profesionally.

Apa2pun aku harap things would get better between us. Aku rindu ‘dia’ sangat

InsyaALLAH kalau tiada aral melintang Infinatez akan merantau ke Kedah hujung minggu depan utk memenuhi jemputan show di sana. Charity event dan majlis berbuka puasa, kita bergembira sambil melakukan kebajikan. Difahamkan hari tu ader beberapa artis lagi di jemput seperti Nash, Imran Ajmain, Luscious, Farah Asyikin dan Aishah. Tapi baru2 nie diorang kata Luscious and Farah tak dibenarkan membuat persembahan kerana diorang pompuan.

Dua minggu lepas kita dikejutkan dengan pembatalan concert Avril Lavigne sempena Hari Kemerdekaan (yg mana last2 perform jugak). Issue tersebut memang headline habis sbb pihak pembangkang memang berkeras taknak dia perform on that day. Kononnya dia nie boleh mempengaruhi kepada gejala social. Dan diorang cakap yg dia nie sexy dan utk membuat persembahan pada malam sebelum kemerdekaan dianggap tidak menghormati Malaysia.

I’m not too sure about you guys but if it was me I say that she is a criminal to the music but I wont go to the extend of banning her at my own country. When they claim that she is sexy, owh common guys that word doesn’t even suit her. It’s a big NO NO with all capital words. And beberapa hari sebelum show dia kita nak cancel just because its near to Merdeka is unfair. I believed that this has been planned long ago, licensed and permit has been given lama dah so kalau cakap its not respecting our independence day is actually not her fault. But the government. Issue nie agak headline, there goes Visit Malaysia yg kita promote. And guess what? She still performed. What a mess….

This guys opened up for Fall Out Boys Orang luar appreciate kita, orang sendiri tak. Takpe, there s always a place for our music bro….

Lagi cerita panas, baru2 ini Kedah telah ban semua unsur muzik yang bersangkut paut dgn reggae, rock, pop dan dangdut. Kerajaan negeri tersebut mengharamkan segala persembahan yang melibatkan gelek-gelek dan utk membuat persembahan di negeri tersebut pihak artis perlu mematuhi peraturan yang ditetapkan sewaktu beraksi di atas pentas. Tiba-tiba teringat plak cerita salah seorang bekas pelajar AF, yang tidak dapat membuat persembahan walaupun namanya tersenarai hanya kerana dianggap seksi. Dan pelajar tersebut lelaki ye….bluekss…

Guamuzik and Momogun

It has been quiet a busy week for us. Lets just start with what happened with Infinatez this couple of days.

Last Thursday, we performed for Gua.com. Gua is a portal whereby you guys can search for the latest info especially the show biz. So after a year, they celebrated their one year
anniversary at Restoran Nelayan Titiwangsa and did buka puasa and makan-makan as well for the orphanage. We arrived there before maghrib and perform slightly after ishak. There were a few big shots who came as well. I saw Paul Moss and Norman Hakim who was seated right beside us. But yeah there were a few other performers that night such as Akasia, Farah Asyikin and Imran Ajmain. And we performed our song Ada Masa, and a piece of acapella ‘anugerah yg terindah’. But the highlight of that event is actually the prizegiving. They gave away a few gifts and we wanted the Plasma TV. Too bad none of us won. Haha. But for more info you can checkout www.gua.com.my

Saturday we were at Berjaya Golf Club Bukit Jalil for an event organized by MSM. It’s a dinner show for the Momogun, which consists of all the Sabahan that is currenty staying in the peninsular. Amongst the VIP that attended the night was Dato Bernard Dompok. It was truly an amazing show and I must thank Alvin for introducing us to the culture, before falling in love with it. The performance was great. The crowd was supportive and awesome. And all of our merchandise including BBKK was practically sold out. The dinner and party was fun and to all the Sabahans that are reading this now, we love ya’ll and thank you for the endless encouragement for Infinatez…..

Now imagine BoyzIIMen singing in dusun? Hows that for a surprise? hehehe

FreedomFilm Festival 2008

Baru-baru nie berlangsung FreedomFilm festival di Annexe KL. Festival nie is about freedom to express your thoughts thru short documentary. That night they were a few finalist and one of them is my client, DNA. DNA is from Blastoff Astro and the movie they did explores the state of music and art as a form of freedom of expression in an Islamic context. They appointed me as the producer, and I made a song which combines hip hop with dark sound and islamic content.During the production of the song I discovered new stuff and even though its my first hip hop track I manage to pull it thru and the song got thru to the final. We also shot a video clip for that song. Its called ‘Genggam Bara’

Alhamdulillah, with lots of effort from everybody that night we won “Most Outstanding Human Rights Film” of the year. We ve helped each other and I must say im very proud of them. Ill upload more story, clips and their song later but meanwhile if you wanna know more you can go check out this link

Ramadhan Al Mubarak

Mungkin sudah agak terlewat sebab blog nie pun memang up lambat but better late than never kan. Saya nak amek kesempatan di sini utk mengucapkan selamat mengerjakan ibadah puasa kepada semua umat islam di Malaysia. Banyakkan beribadah dan elakkan dari melakukan perkara2 yang dilarang. Ingat! Bulan puasa setan semua kena ikat. So kalau sendiri bukak puasa, ponteng, hisap rokok belakang tangga jgn salahkan setan. Setan annual leave sebulan…

Moga-moga Ramadhan kali ini akan lebih diberkatinya.

Sedang aku bekerja tiba-tiba aku menerima sms dari sahabatku. Dalam pesanan tersebut mengatakan ayah kepada kawan rapatku lynnz telah meninggal dunia di hospital serdang. Jenazah akan dikebumikan di Puchong selepas Asar.

Al-Fatihah kepada arwah. Semoga dia tenang dan ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 yang beriman...

Doctor's routine

I live a hectic life. I work for DHL Cyberjaya as an IT analyst. I have a bloody odd working time but I ain’t complaining. I work on shift. I prefer shift rather than stuck with the old 9-5 routine everyday. Lagipun im not a morning person and I hate office attire. Satu lagi kenapa aku suka keje shift ialah I could adjust to my other hobby. A hobby and passion that has now turned into part of me…

Im in Infinatez. Apa tu? Well i cant say much. Lets just say the next malaysia’s very own BoyzIIMen.Wakakaka. Well if you must know Infinatez nie is the new RnB group in town. Not so newlah. I mean does 4 years be considered as new? But whatever it is we were the finalist of Gangstarz. And then we joined P Ramlee the Musical, both seasons. Macam tak percaya? So that’s why I love working shift nie ikut sukahati mak bapak aku je nak masuk keje pukul berapa. Selalunya akan problem kalau kitorang ader show dan interview. Last 2 months when the teater was going on in Singapore, I had to take leave for a week, then dekat Istana Budaya I memang kena adjust time keje i. So alhamdulillah boleh kawtim. Bagi dia 2 ticket free semuanya bolehkan.... hahah

At the same time I love doing music. I wanna keep on doing music and inspire people who listen to it. I ve got my own company if you must know which is called TWBR that stands for ‘Those Who Believe Records And Publishing’. Me and my partner Benign who is also from Infinatez write, compose, arrange and produce songs for other artiste. Pelan – pelan kayuhlah. Satu hari nanti nampaklah hasilnya. For those yang nak menyanyi you can just holla at me. Kitorang tak makan orang…

So there you go. Now you know how packed my life is. Masa yang lebih adalah untuk si dia ....hehe
